The Zuari River Challenge
Our first long distance swim of GOWSC Season 2024- 25 is here, and we cannot wait!
The Zuari River is one of the most significant rivers in Goa and offers a fascinating blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and economic importance. Did you know during the Portuguese colonial period, the river was a vital hub for maritime trade and commerce, and now the Indian Navy maintains a naval base on the Zuari River, safeguarding India's maritime interests.
Swimmers will meet at Hawaii beach, Dona Paula, hop aboard a boat and head to our starting point. Swimmers doing the 5 km swim, will start their journey at the break of dawn, and the 2.5 km distance swimmers will jump off at the halfway mark, making it back to our home to Hawaii beach, in Dona Paula!
As always, there will be ample instructors, supporting kayaks and lifeguard assistance to ensure the safety of all swimmers.
So don’t wait and grab your early dolphin ticket soon!
