Meet the team
Each coach on the team is a water baby first, and a coach second. It’s their passion and love for the sea that they wish to share with everyone. All the coaches are trained in Basic Life Saving and Resuscitation Skills by the the Special Rescue Training Academy.
Elias Patel
Founder
Elias is WOWSA certified swim coach, passionate about creating vast ecosystems of open water swimming, and additionally a pioneer of sea swimming events from triathlons to swimathons in India. When he’s not in the water, he just needs a mic in his hand to entertain everyone.
Meenal Kansara
Founder
Meenal will not boast about his swimming accolades, so let his team do so - he has completed multiple open water races across different coasts of India. He is the ultimate long distance swimming guru of the club.
Nicole Pavri
Founder
As a WOWSA-certified swim coach, national-level triathlete and open water swimmer, she brings a wealth of experience to her role. Her passion lies in inspiring swimmers to embrace the thrill of open water swimming and helping them reach their full potential.
Arunima Bose
WOWSA certified swim coach, self-proclaimed mermaid, water inspires her art and vice versa. She is one with the water and her calming tone heals all your fears. She wants to encourage more women to join the sport of open water swimming.
Mihir Despande
Mihir is a national swimmer and certified lifeguard, but does not restrict himself to the sea. He’s your go-to person for all things adventurous across waterfalls, rivers and quarries in Goa.
Tony
Tony has been fascinated by the sea since he was a kid, and has been swimming for more than 40 years. He is motivated to coach more people to swim in the sea, as India has a vast coastline and yet most are fearful of the sea.
Vinayak Lotlikar
Vinayak found his love for swimming quite late in life, but that hasn't deterred his passion to keep learning, and motivating people to step into the world of sea swimming. His friendly nature will put you at ease in the water.
Vandita Dhariyal
Vandita claims to be a mid-distance swimmer, but won’t brag about her brilliant achievements of swimming across international seas, from crossing the “English Channel” to representing India at the World Championships.
Trevor Pinto
A valuable piece of advice from Trevor, our beach yogi, who starts and ends each swim with a salutation to the sun - for all open water swimmers, no matter what kind of experience, “Rationalise your fear and always be prepared.”
“So many people along the way, whatever it is you aspire to do, will tell you it can’t be done. But all it takes is imagination. You dream. You plan. You reach.”
